    Directions

De Helderse Vallei is located at the Donkere Duinen car park in Den Helder.

    Train and bus
From Den Helder Central Station, take the line 31 bus to Station Zuid Westzijde. After getting off the bus at the Zandkreekweg/Duinroosstraat bus stop on Jan Verfailleweg, do not walk in the direction taken by the bus as it drives away (it turns off to the left). Follow Jan Verfailleweg towards the beach and the Donkere Duinen woodlands. Cross the road at the next traffic lights and you will see the entrance to De Helderse Vallei on the far side of the Donkere Duinen car park.

    Car
If your navigation system is not up-to-date, enter Den Helder, Jan Verfailleweg 620 as the address. Coming from Alkmaar/Den Oever, take the 'Julianadorp Zuid/(Strand)' exit off the main road (N250/N9). Keep following the road to the right and turn left on Callantsogervaart (follow ‘Strand’ on the signs). At the end, you turn right onto Zanddijk. Follow the road with the dunes and Mariëndal nature reserve on your right and drive into the Donkere Duinen woodland area until you see a turn-off just before the traffic lights. De Helderse Vallei is located on the right-hand side in the large car park.

There are charging stations for electric bicycles and vehicles in the car park and in the grounds of De Helderse Vallei.
