Cycling routes

Cycling

An ATB route and a bicycle and canoe route run through the recreational area, between the climbing valley (KlimVallei) and the open air theatre (Openluchttheater).

Visitors can pick up a free cycle route map at De Helderse Vallei, which shows 12, 18 and 26 km cycle routes that take you to several attractive places in Den Helder. This cycle route is also available with a set of assignments that children can complete along the way!

There is a Fietsknooppuntennetwerk sign in our car park near the traffic lights. This is junction 2. Visitors can use the numbered bicycle junction network to map out their own route through Den Helder and the surrounding area. The Landelijke Fietsroute (LF1), the national cycle route, also runs through Den Helder. You can download information about cycle routes via this link.
